It urges urgent improvement of the conditions in which farm animals live and calls for the abolition of factory farms in which these animals are tortured and abused. Ryan Gosling has written several open letters to the US Department of Agriculture with PETA. For example, he called for a ban on the extermination of birds by the method of suffocation in foam.
In 2017, he starred in the film Blade Runner 2049. Gosling’s character wears the iconic coat, which is traditionally made from sheepskin.
