American endurance athlete, athlete and runner. In 2019, Robbie Balenger ran across the United States – 3,200 miles from New York to California in 75 days. He thus became the third athlete to run across the country on a plant-based diet only. In one of the interviews, he stated that his goal is to inspire people to start paying more attention to what they put in their bodies. He also described in several other interviews that the trip changed him physically, mentally and emotionally. He proved that one does not need to eat animal protein to be an elite endurance athlete.
Robbie Balenger recently broke the world record for the number of laps run around New York’s Central Park. In total, Balenger ran 100 miles in just over 18 hours, beating the previous world record by 30.5 miles. His record attempt was sponsored by New York-based men’s activewear brand Ten Thousand as part of the company’s ongoing Feats Of Strength series, which will see each athlete attempt a new record performance in 2021.
